We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when adults are afraid of the light.
At every step the child should be allowed to meet the real experiences of life; the thorns should never be plucked from the roses.
Experience is a hard teacher; she gives the test first and the lessons afterward.
Free will is not the liberty to do whatever one likes, but the power of doing whatever one sees ought to be done, even in the very face of otherwise overwhelming impulse.
With knowing comes responsibility;
With responsibility comes a choice;
With choices comes the future.
…you don’t get to choose how you’re going to die, or when. You can only decide how you’re going to live. Now.
